Prepare the Working Area
- Ensure the dental tray and all instruments are clean and dry.
- Have the Flexident Light Body and Waldent FlexiGum VPS Putty ready.
Mixing the Waldent FlexiGum VPS Putty
- Take equal parts of base and catalyst putty from the Waldent FlexiGum VPS A-Silicone Putty tubes.
- Mix them together thoroughly for 30 seconds until a uniform color is achieved. Use a spatula for mixing.
Putty Impression
- Quickly transfer the mixed putty into the tray and spread it evenly to cover the entire impression area.
- Place the tray with the putty into the patient's mouth and gently press to ensure full contact with the teeth and surrounding tissues.
- Allow the putty to set for at least 3 minutes as per the product specifications.
Prepare Flexident Light Body
- While the putty is setting, prepare the Flexident Light Body according to the instructions provided with the kit.
Injecting Flexident Light Body
- Once the putty is set, remove the tray carefully from the mouth.
- Load the Flexident Light Body material into the syringe or dispensing gun.
Inject Light Body Material
- Apply the Flexident Light Body material onto the areas where more detail and precision are required, such as sub-gingival areas or around implants.
- Use a gentle but steady pressure to inject the material precisely into these areas.
Final Impression
- Reinsert the tray with the Flexident Light Body material into the patient's mouth, ensuring it aligns perfectly with the initial putty impression.
- Allow the Flexident Light Body material to set according to the specified intraoral setting time (3 minutes 30 seconds in this case).
Remove and Inspect
- After the complete setting time has elapsed, carefully remove the tray from the mouth.
- Inspect the impression for accuracy, detail, and any areas that may need correction or refinement.
Trimming and Finalizing
- Trim excess material from the impression carefully using a sharp instrument.
- Rinse the impression with water and disinfect as necessary before proceeding with further dental procedures.
