- Prepare the handpiece: Ensure that the handpiece is clean and free from any debris or contamination. Check that the water spray and air connections are properly attached.
- Connect the handpiece: Attach the handpiece to the dental unit or air turbine using the appropriate connections. Ensure a secure and stable connection.
- Adjust the spray settings: Set the water spray to the desired level using the control on the dental unit. The X-SG20L handpiece offers both external and internal cooling options (Kirschner and Meyer).
- Insert the bur: Utilizing the patented triple-grip Ultra Push Chuck, insert the bur into the chuck mechanism. The one-touch bur replacement feature allows for easy and quick bur changes. The auto-chuck lock mechanism will automatically secure the bur in place when a higher load is applied.
- Position the handpiece: Hold the handpiece in a comfortable and ergonomic grip. The stainless steel body design provides excellent balance and tactile feel, ensuring precise control during dental procedures.
- Activate the handpiece: Start the dental unit or air turbine to activate the handpiece. Adjust the speed and torque settings as required for the specific procedure. The maximum speed for the X-SG20L is 2000/min-1, with a maximum torque of 80 NCM.
- Perform the procedure: Direct the handpiece to the operating site, ensuring optimal access and visibility. The NSK Ti-Max X-SG20L provides excellent stability and reduced frictional wear, allowing for smooth and efficient dental treatments. The Clean Head System with the anti-suck back mechanism prevents the entry of blood and foreign matter, ensuring longevity of the ball bearings and mechanical parts.
- Monitor and maintain: Throughout the procedure, monitor the handpiece's performance and ensure the water spray system is providing adequate cooling. If any issues arise, such as reduced spray or unusual noise, stop the procedure and inspect the handpiece for any blockages or malfunctions
