Preparation:
- Ensure the work area is clean and dry.
- Gather all required materials: Ad Sil Acura Putty Hard Set (Base + Catalyst), tray, tray adhesive, mixing spatula, and syringe (if needed).
- Prepare the patient for the impression procedure.
Mixing:
- Dispense equal amounts of base and catalyst from the jar.
- Knead the putty with your fingers until it reaches a uniform blue color.
- If using wash material, mix it with a stiff spatula until fully blended.
Tray Preparation:
- Apply an even layer of tray adhesive to the entire inner surface.
- Allow it to dry before proceeding.
Patient Preparation:
- Wipe the patient's teeth to remove excess blood, saliva, or water.
- Complete drying isn’t necessary, but any foreign material may affect the flow.
Impression Taking:
- Load the mixed putty into the tray and place it in the patient’s mouth.
- Ensure proper positioning and full coverage.
- Wait for the recommended setting time.
- Once set, gently remove the tray by breaking the seal.
Post-Impression Handling:
- Rinse the impression under running water to remove debris.
- Disinfect as per standard protocols, if needed.
- Keep away from direct sunlight.
Model Pouring:
- Pour models after 20 minutes; compatible with all die materials, including epoxy.
- For epoxy models, wait at least 60 minutes before pouring.
Storage:
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Secure the jar lid tightly after each use.
- Do not use past the expiration date.
