- Prepare the Device:
- If the cover is in place (models N204C/N205C), unplug the thumb port and slide the suction tip out of the cover.
- Connect to Suction Line:
- Attach the barbed end of the Little Sucker to the suction line.
- Set Suction Pressure:
- Adjust suction to the appropriate pressure according to hospital protocol or physician recommendations.
- Begin Suctioning:
- Block the thumb port with your thumb to start suctioning.
- Suction the mouth or nares intermittently, releasing the thumb port to stop suction.
- Clear the Device:
- Suction sterile water through the tip after each use to clear any debris.
- Reinsert into Cover (if applicable):
- Place the Little Sucker back into the cover and insert the port plug into the thumb port.
- Replacement:
- Replace the suction tip and cover every 24 hours or per hospital protocol, whichever comes first.
- Efficient and Controlled Suction: The thumb port allows for easy start-stop suctioning, ensuring precise fluid removal.
